Ring Necked Ducks
As Spring arrives, I just want to note that the MVD of this winter was the ring necked duck. It was seen frequently, in many places, and in large numbers. The best sighting was at Captain Sargeant, where we saw about fifty during one trip, along with a smattering of mergansers and teals.
We also ran into three Pileated Woodpeckers and three Boxboro Birders.
