Sunday River
Did some birding therapy at our family gathering and grieving in Maine over the last couple of weeks. As I learned last summer, lots of migrating warblers are on their way to Maine. Found several of them at Ross' house at Sunday River.
The house was surrounded by Northern Parulas.
There were also a fair number of Chestnut Warblers.
And the last day, spotted a Blackburnian.
Plenty of other birds as well. Woke up to a Hermit Thrush song on my last day and had several good looks at one or more great-crested flycathers the first day at Ross'. Also ravens, red-eyed vireos, common yellow-throats and Eastern phoebes. Merlin kept identifying blue-headed vireos, but I never could ID one by sight.
