Late Summer Birding

Had some nice mornings at Great Meadows, with plenty of female and adolescent wood ducks.

With the help of some better birders and photographers, also ID'd a peregrine falcon.

Spent a couple of days in Maine and found great views of two brown creepers.

It's now September, and I think there are some warblers out there.  I spotted either a northern parula, female common yellowthroat, or a Nashville yesterday and the Arboretum.  It seemed the yellow stopped pretty early, which seems like a Parula.  But I don't think I saw the wing bars.  And the common yellowthroat is resident so it seems the most likely, though there have been a lot of reports of nashville's in the area.
