McWain and the Week in Review

Made a quick overnight trip up to Maine.  The bird highlight was a long, clear look at a singing ovenbird (in the Maine house driveway).

We stopped in Ogunquit on the way home and enjoyed the piping plovers.  I put in the action photo because these guys like to run.  We also saw some small groups flying and piping.

Nice bird.

Last weekend, Lori and I had some quiet walks, but each was saved by a single sighting.

We saw an Oriole one evening near the tennis bubble.

And caught another pileated woodpecker at Oxbow.
