Christmas Birding in Arizona
it was a rainy cold week in Cave Creek, Arizona, but some birds were spotted.
The cartoonish Gambel's Quail are fun and wander around in family groups it seems.
They don't seem to fly. They do sometimes get run over.
Lots of Cactus Wren's were found
A Verden or two were in the neighbor's backyard. Same as last visit.
Also spotted a couple of humming birds, but not sure of the type.
Might have seen a roadrunner, but I'm not sure.
Not a bad trip considering the weather.
