Belated February Report
Had a pretty good spell of duck sightings at Ice House Pond in February.
Most notable was a pair of American wigeons. Like the Northern Pintails earlier in the winter, it was the first time I've seen these birds in Acton.
And speaking of Northern Pintails, a pair returned in February for a short stint.
A couple of Black Ducks (probably not the same ones) showed up both at the Ice House Pond and by the Assabet trail by South Acton train station (i.e. the turtle walk).
Lastly, and non-Duck related, the Golden Crowned Kinglet continued to pop up in a high percentage of my walks, both at Ice House Pond and the turtle walk.
