Belated Maine Report

Actually, we went Birding in Plum Island and Ogunquit.  The highlight in both cases was a Great Egret.

Fall Birding

Tried to find the Fall Migration this weekend.  Not sure I did, but some interesting sightings anyway.

Went to Great Meadows in Concord on Saturday and got a close up look at some bird-on-fish violence as a Great Blue Heron captured, murdered, and ate a fish.




On Sunday, hit Jenks.  The highlight was a female American Redstart.  It took a while to identify.  At first, we were thinking Northern Perula.  But once we checked online, it was clearly the bird below.
