Bike Trail

Birding on the new bike trail this weekend.  Got a tip on some Kingfishers near the tennis bubble and shooting range.  Struck out on that front, but it is a nice area.

Tons of Red-winged Blackbirds.
Tons of Tree Swallows.



One Northern Flicker.
Killdeers.
(also a regular deer on the way to the trail).
A couple of ducks.

I thought I saw a bluebird, which seemed out of place, and after further analysis, I think a Barn Swallow makes more sense.

Yellow Warbler
Red-breasted Grosbeak
Black-billed Cuckoo (first career sighing for both of us).  Definitely saw the red eye.
Great Crested Flycatcher.
+ plenty of cardinals and red-winged blackbirds

It took some patience, but it turned out to be a good day at Jenks.
